The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Animation at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) is a three-year full-time programme focused on animation production methods. Students study digital 2D hand-drawn animation, 2D cut-out techniques, motion graphics, and 3D animation, with emphasis on storytelling, character development, performance, timing, and visual language.
Learning includes hands-on projects using industry-standard software and workflows. The programme includes an internship/industrial training of a minimum period of 16 weeks in the second year. In the final year, students produce a series of animation project, along with modules that cover research reporting, venture building, sound design, exhibition design, and intellectual property basics.
