Bachelor of Biotechnology Industry Hons

The Bachelor of Biotechnology Industry (Hons) at Universiti Industri Selangor is a comprehensive three-year program that equips students with knowledge and skills to harness biological systems for industrial applications. It bridges biology, chemistry, and engineering, with a focus on sustainable development, healthcare, agriculture, and the environment.

Students develop proficiency in bioprocess technology, genetic engineering, bioinformatics, and industrial microbiology. The curriculum emphasizes practical training through laboratory work, internships, and industry-driven projects. It also includes laboratory work areas such as bioprocessing techniques, fermentation technology, and downstream processing, alongside industry collaborations for internships and industrial visits.

Pass STPM with a minimum of Grade C (GPA 2.0) in any two (2) subjects or its equivalent, and possess SPM with three (3) credits in Mathematics, one (1) science subject and one (1) other subject, or its equivalent.

Pass STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid, or its equivalent, and possess SPM with three (3) credits in Mathematics, one (1) science subject, and one (1) other subject, or its equivalent.

Matriculation/Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.0; and possess SPM with three (3) credits in Mathematics, one (1) science subject and one (1) other subject, or its equivalent.

A Diploma (level 4 MQF) in a related field with a minimum of CGPA 2.0, or its equivalent;

Note: The credit requirement at SPM level for candidate in categories (i), (ii) and (iii) can be waived if the grades obtained at STPM/STAM/Diploma/Matriculation/Foundation are equivalent to or higher than those specified.
