Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah is a programme with both pre-clinical and clinical phases. Learning combines lecture, tutorial, practical work (laboratory and field work), seminar, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and Team-Based Learning (TBL). Students also use 3D anatomy app support alongside real human anatomy teaching.

Students study through clinical placements in government hospitals and clinics under the Ministry of Health in Kedah, with bed-side teaching, ward and clinic round teaching, seminars, and case presentations. Teaching uses dissection hall sessions with 11 full cadavers, plus two museums for anatomical and pathological exhibits, three multipurpose laboratories, and two Clinical Skill-Laboratories. Students also complete community service in a rural community and an elective posting lasting four weeks.

Pass Matriculation / Foundation in Science / Pre-Medical Program with a CGPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) in THREE (3) subjects: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics; AND
Minimum grade for each subject is C (CGPA 2.0); AND
Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / O level with at least 5Bs in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics / Additional Mathematics, and ONE (1) other subject; OR
Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with BBB, ABC, or AAC or CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0) in THREE (3) subjects: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics; OR
Pass Diploma in Health Sciences with a CGPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0); AND Pass SPM / O level with at least 2Bs in Biology and/or Chemistry and/or Physics; AND achieve THREE (3) credits in English, Mathematics / Additional Mathematics, and ONE (1) other subject; OR
Pass Bachelor’s Degree with a CGPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) in Health Sciences / Pure / Applied Sciences; OR
Pass with a CGPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) in Arts and Humanities.
