Doctor of Philosophy in Biotechnology

The Doctor of Philosophy in Biotechnology at Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) is a research-intensive programme that advances biotechnology to address global challenges in health, agriculture, and the environment. Students conduct advanced research, develop novel methodologies, and explore interdisciplinary applications, including integrations with nanotechnology, pharmacology, and renewable energy.

The programme includes training in advanced biotechnological techniques such as molecular biology, genetic engineering, bioinformatics, and bioprocessing methods. It develops scientific communication through publishing journal research and presenting at national and international conferences, and it supports research through expert supervision, research facilities, funding opportunities, and professional development workshops. Students may work with academic institutions, industry partners, and government agencies.
