Master in Applied Computing

The Master in Applied Computing at Perdana University is a practical, industry-focused programme that applies computer science principles to real-world problems. Students study software development, data analytics, cybersecurity, and cloud computing through core modules such as Concepts of Programming Using Python, Principles of Data Science and Modelling, Artificial Intelligence, Research Methodology, Big Data Analytics Technology, and Applied Machine Learning.

The curriculum includes an elective module (choose one from another specialization) and Capstone Project I & II. Students also choose one specialization track: Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Web Development. The programme is delivered full time for 1.5 years or part time for 2.3 years, with intakes in Jan, June, and Sept.

i. A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related field, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the Perdana University's Senate;
OR
ii. A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 can be accepted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment;
OR
iii. A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in a Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 can be accepted subject to a rigorous assessment to identify necessary bridging courses or to evaluate relevant working experience;
OR
iv. Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia.

International Students: IELTS 6.0 (Equivalent to CEFR Mid B2)
If a student does not meet this requirement, Perdana University offers a three-month Intensive English Preparatory program to ensure proficiency meets the program's needs.
