Master in Computer Science Research Odl

The Master in Computer Science (Research) at Perdana University is delivered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL). It focuses on original research and technical depth, with research areas covering Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer-Human Interface (HCI), Software Engineering, Data Science and Analytics, Computer Networks and Security, Distributed Systems & Cloud, Algorithms and Optimization, Computational Biology, Graphics and Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning.

The curriculum includes core modules in Research Methods for Computer Science and Quantitative Analysis. The program runs for 2 years (ODL) with intakes in Jan, Mar, June, Aug, and Oct. It is designed to help graduates build research skills while balancing advanced studies with professional commitments.

Modules

• Research Methods for Computer Science
• Quantitative Analysis

i. A Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00; OR
ii. A Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields with a CGPA below 3.00 (min 2.00) accepted subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
iii. A Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) in a Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 accepted subject to rigorous assessment and prerequisite bridging courses. Note: Prerequisite courses may include Computer Architecture, Database Fundamentals, Networking, Programming, and Systems Analysis.
