The Master of Applied Sciences at Nilai University College is designed to develop research capability and scholarly practice for people who want to become researchers in applied sciences. Students extend their development from scholarly understanding and practice to conducting research in areas such as Agricultural Science, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Science, Bioresource Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Food Science, Health Science, Herbal Medicine, Microbiology, Mathematics, Materials Science, and Physics.
The programme follows five phases: a pre-requisite core course that covers Research Methodology and Statistics (for students without sufficient knowledge or background), preliminary research as the start of the Master’s thesis project, proposal defence, thesis preparation for data collection, data analysis, and report writing, and a viva voce to orally defend the thesis.
Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) in a related field.
