Master of Science Biotechnology

The Master of Science (Biotechnology) at Universiti Industri Selangor is a research-based program that develops advanced expertise in biotechnology through immersive, research-driven learning. It focuses on molecular biology, bioinformatics, bioprocessing, and environmental and sustainable biotechnological applications, with an emphasis on critical thinking, technical expertise, and problem-solving.

The program is offered in both full-time and part-time modes. It is guided by experienced supervisors and supported by modern laboratory facilities. Students conduct specialised research methodologies, analyse and interpret reliable and valid data using biotechnology tools, and communicate outcomes through publishing or presenting conference papers.

A Bachelor’s degree in Science from Universiti Selangor or any other Institution of Higher Learning recognized by the University Senate, with a CGPA of 2.75 or above; OR

Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the University Senate, with a CGPA of 2.75 or above; OR

A candidate with a CGPA of below 2.75 but above 2.0, or does not possess a degree in science may be enrolled in the Programme subject to rigorous internal assessment process.
