Martin Alexandersson Research Scholarship at Raoul Wallenberg Institute in Sweden, 2018

Scholarship Description: The Raoul Wallenberg Institute is proud to announce its annual “Martin Alexandersson Research Scholarship for Human Rights Studies”.  Students from around the world are eligible to apply.

Scholarship Provider: The Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law is an experienced research and academic institution with offices, programmes, and convening power covering 40 countries. The mission of the institute is to contribute to a wider understanding of, and respect for, human rights and international humanitarian law.

Degree Level: Scholarship is available to pursue research.

Available Subject: Scholarship is awarded to learn Human right studies.

Scholarship Benefits: The scholarship amounts to SEK 30,000 and is awarded to a researcher who is planning to carry out, or who is carrying out, a study in the field of human rights, preferably in respect of Roma populations or anti-Semitism, and who is well qualified for the task.

Eligible Nationalities: Students from around the world are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following requirements:

Applications are encouraged from around the world concerning the implementation of human rights of Roma and Jews, including strategies for rights implementation and special measures directed towards these groups.

The project is to be completed within a 12 months period from the announcement of the selected candidate.

Application Procedure: 

A complete application should be written in English and contain the following information:

  • Applicant’s CV (maximum 5 pages including publications)
  • Project description which includes the aim and  relevance of the research as well  as an indicatory time frame (maximum 2  pages total)
  • Budget which indicates costs related to the execution of the project and when applicable, information about other sources of funding available for the project

Applications should be sent with the subject title “MARS18” to our Academic Assistant Sofie Viborg no later than May 31.
