Leiden University Minerva Scholarship Fund (MSF)

The Minerva Scholarship Fund Foundation (MSF) has provided Leiden University students of all disciplines with scholarships for exceptional or prestigious study and research projects abroad. MSF supports projects that fall into internship, study, or research categories.

The target group is Bachelor and Master students registered at Leiden University. The scholarship covers all countries and all nationalities. It is open to students in all disciplines, and lists participating faculties including Archaeology, Humanities, Medicine/LUMC, Governance and Global Affairs, Law, Social and Behavioural Sciences, Science, and interfaculties including ICLON.

Leiden University describes selection by an allocation committee consisting of Leiden lecturers from various disciplines. The committee evaluates applications on predetermined criteria, giving attention to the relevance of the research and how it will contribute to the advancement of academic knowledge.

Support is between €900 and €, and subsidises research costs, international travel and living costs. After the project ends, you must submit a project report with accompanying images within three months. Leiden University states decisions cannot be appealed.

• You are registered as a Bachelor or Master student at Leiden University.You do not need to be a member of L.S.V. Minerva.The application pertains to an exceptional or prestigious study or research project abroad.The project falls into one of the following categories: internship, study or research.PhD tracks and complete Master programmes are not eligible.

• Scholarship amount: between €900 and €2000.Subsidised expenses: research costs.Subsidised expenses: international travel and living costs.
