Minerva Scholarship Fund at Leiden University Netherlands for accepting applications

Minerva Scholarship Fund Foundation (MSF) provides Leiden University students of all disciplines with scholarships for exceptional or prestigious study and research projects abroad. The scholarship is intended for study and research projects across disciplines and is supported by the Minerva Scholarship Fund Foundation.

The target group is Bachelor and Master students registered at Leiden University. Eligible project types are internship, study, and research, and the programme categories covered include faculty areas listed by Leiden University, including Archaeology, Humanities, Medicine/LUMC, Governance and Global Affairs, Law, Social and Behavioural Sciences, Science, and interfaculty programmes including ICLON.

Selection is carried out by an allocation committee consisting of Leiden lecturers from various disciplines. Applications are evaluated using predetermined criteria, with attention given to the relevance of the research and how it contributes to the advancement of academic knowledge. A decision cannot be appealed.

The scholarship amount is between €900 and €. The expenses that can be subsidised are research costs and international travel and living costs. Within three months of the end of the project, recipients must submit a project report with accompanying images.

• You are registered as a Bachelor or Master student at Leiden University.
• You do not need to be a member of L.S.V. Minerva.
• The application pertains to an exceptional or prestigious study or research project abroad.
• The project must fall into one of the following categories: internship, study or research.
• PhD tracks and complete Master programmes are not eligible.
• You must submit the application dossier before the deadline.

• Scholarship amount: between €900 and €2000.
• Subsidised expenses: research costs; international travel and living costs.
