The Bachelor of Accounting (Level 7) is an online programme worth 360 credits. It prepares you with specialised knowledge, technical and professional skills in accounting, including ethical, socially responsible and sustainable practice across business settings. You also learn how to apply accounting decision-making through creative, strategic and critical thinking, and how to integrate Te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi into accounting and business practices.
You study online using course materials, at a pace that suits you, between the course start and end dates. There is no need to travel to a campus. Your course facilitator guides you and answers questions, with support from a Student Mentor and the Library and Learning Centre teams. There are no scheduled online classes, though some courses may include an in-person component such as practicum, workshops, noho marae or exam. Graduates can move into roles such as financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, treasury, banking and finance, risk management, and business consultancy.
