The Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) equips learners with a recognised, flexible and applied teaching qualification for early childhood education. Practical courses connect theory with practice and align with sector needs, with preparation for work in ECE teaching positions and for further study at postgraduate level.
Delivery is online study. Learners work through course materials online at a pace that suits them between the course start and end dates. There are no scheduled online classes, but some courses may include an in-person component such as practicum, workshops, noho marae or exam. The programme includes five assessed practicums (6 hours a day, five days a week) totalling 120 days in approved licensed early childhood centres.
