The New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5) (Human Resource Management) at Open Polytechnic focuses on using knowledge and skills to contribute to business operational objectives. You study how to analyse the operational impact of internal and external environments, apply principles and current practices across operations, accounting, marketing/sales, human resources, and risk management, and support innovation and organisational change.
You also learn how to develop and maintain operational business relationships with stakeholders and apply knowledge of te Tiriti o Waitangi to how a bi-cultural partnership can be applied to operational business activities and relationships. The course is delivered through online study. You work through course materials online at a pace that suits you between the course start and end dates, with no need to travel to a campus, and support from a course facilitator, a Student Mentor, and the Library and Learning Centre teams.
