UC New Zealand Scholarships : Up to Full Tuition for First-Year Students

Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury offers a range of scholarships for incoming first-year students to recognise academic and sporting excellence, leadership, cultural and community involvement, and overcoming of barriers and personal challenges. Each scholarship has different eligibility criteria.

Incoming First-Year Scholarships are available specifically for Māori and Pacific students, students who can demonstrate leadership potential, students with financial hardship or other personal circumstances, students moving away from home to study at UC (with accommodation costs), and international students. The scholarships cover incoming first-year undergraduate enrolment at UC.

Selection is managed through each individual scholarship’s eligibility criteria (for example, subject area, level, or qualification planned at UC; and factors such as age, gender, ethnicity, citizenship; and which high school and/or region the student is coming from). Applicants are instructed to use the scholarships database filters to find scholarships available for their circumstances.
