Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Technology Pgdpt for the 2025 2026 Academic Session

The Postgraduate Diploma in Petroleum Technology (PGDPT) targets candidates from oil and gas producing communities and others seeking careers in petroleum and energy sectors. It includes hands-on training, use of industry case studies, software, and field visits. The programme runs intensively full-time for twelve calendar months and is fully residential. It offers a one-year internship with TotalEnergies EP Nigeria Limited and a pathway to an MSc in Petroleum Project Development and Energy Transition. Instruction is modular, with faculty from the University of Port Harcourt, other Nigerian universities, and industry experts, supported by a physical and virtual library and internet access.

Bachelor’s degree from an NUC accredited or internationally recognized Engineering programme with a minimum of second-class lower division; or Post HND (Bachelor’s degree) from NUC accredited or internationally recognized Engineering programme with a minimum of second-class lower division; or Bachelor’s degree from an NUC accredited or internationally recognized physical sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geology, Geophysics including Science Laboratory Technology) programme with second-class lower division; must have completed NYSC.
