Nigeria NNPC – SNEPCo National University Scholarship

The Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), on behalf of itself, Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, and its co-venture partners, invites applications for the NNPC–SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme. The stated aim is promoting academic excellence and improving the skills of young Nigerians. The programme provides a yearly grant to successful applicants from their second year to completion of their undergraduate degree programme.

Eligible applicants are undergraduate students studying in National Universities Commission (NUC) accredited courses in public Nigerian universities. The scholarship is open to full-time undergraduates in public universities within Nigeria. Applicants must be Nigerian citizens and currently in their second year of full-time study in a public Nigerian university accredited by the NUC.

Selection uses eligibility and screening steps. Applications must be received by the stated deadline via the scholarship portal only. Only candidates meeting eligibility are invited for a monitored computer-based test. Only the top candidates are shortlisted from each of the states and the Federal Capital Territory for academic verification prior to a scholarship offer. Candidates with falsified results are disqualified, and only candidates that satisfy the criteria are contacted to receive the scholarship award.

Support runs from the applicant’s second year of undergraduate study to completion of the undergraduate degree programme, and it is described as renewable through graduation. To sustain the award, scholars are expected to maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.5 per session on a 5-grade system or the equivalent in other grade systems. Recipients are also expected to maintain academic and ethical standards and other conditions outlined in the scholarship award letter.

• Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship from an entity in the Oil and Gas industry, National or International.
• Study in National Universities Commission (NUC) accredited courses in public Nigerian universities.
• Applicants must apply as full-time undergraduates.
• Application must be submitted via the scholarship portal only.
• Email applications are not accepted.
• Permanent residents are not eligible.
• Permanent residents are not eligible for the scholarship award.
• Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Only shortlisted candidates are invited for the monitored computer-based test.
• If awarded, you cannot transfer the offer to another university or course of study.
• Applicants must be a student of a recognised public university in Nigeria, as listed with the National Universities Commission (NUC).
• Applicants applying if going to a vocational school are not eligible.

1. Have a valid personal email account and phone number.
2. Submit an online application at https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/NNPCLTDSNEPCo25 (applications by eligible candidates should be submitted online).
3. Include personal and educational details in the application.
4. Upload the required scanned documents as part of the application.
5. Download and complete the government official declaration form using the provided download link, then upload it after filling it correctly.
6. On the scholarship portal: click the “Apply Now” tab.
7. Click “Register Now” to create an account.
8. Activate the account by proceeding to the email inbox.
9. Return to the scholarship site and enter the registered email and password to upload information.
10. Enter personal information and educational information (including National Identification Number if available), and upload the required scanned documents.
11. Ensure the name used in the application matches the names on documentation in the same order; if otherwise, upload an affidavit or certificate.
12. View documents after uploading to eliminate errors during uploading.
13. When asked to upload a photo, upload a passport photograph with a white background.
14. Recheck application information to avoid errors.
15. Return to “Active Scholarships”, select the scheme, and click “Apply Now” to submit.
16. Confirm submission: check the on-screen and email notification; then check “My application” under “My account” in your profile.
17. Return to www.scholastica.ng, sign in with email and password to download your profile, and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.
18. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile for verification.
19. If NIN was not available: register for National Identification Number at the provided NIN enrolment page, then complete registration at one of the provided capture centres or at the NIMC office.
20. Return to www.scholastica.ng and update the application with the National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion.

• A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant in JPEG format, not more than 200 kilobytes.
• University or JAMB Admission Letter.
• Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Result.
• O' Level Result(s).
• 'A' Level/ OND/ NCE Result(s) as applicable.
• Letter of Identification from the State of Origin, indicating the applicant's local government of origin.
• Academic results (CGPA) after completing 100 level.
• Government official declaration form (downloaded from the provided link, filled in correctly, and uploaded).
• Where the name used in applications differs from documentation, an affidavit or certificate.
• Signed profile document from Head of Department (uploaded as a scanned copy for verification).
