Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Dhofar University provides foundational knowledge in core mechanical engineering principles and practical skills. The curriculum includes subjects such as mechanical statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, strength and properties of materials, and industrial maintenance. The program integrates hands-on training in manufacturing processes, CAD/CAM, CNC machining, mechanical drawing, and electric circuits to enhance interdisciplinary skills.

Students receive practical experience in laboratories focused on fluid mechanics, materials testing, and mechanical workshops. The program includes in-course projects and an internship to give students industrial experience. Graduates are prepared for technical roles in manufacturing, oil and gas, energy, construction, and maintenance sectors or for further study in mechanical engineering.
