PhD Scholarship in Drinking Water Treatment Optimisation, Australia, 2017

Scholarship Description: The University of South Australia is offering PhD Scholarship in Drinking Water Treatment Optimisation. The scholarship will provide a living allowance paid at the RTP Domestic Stipend rate: $26,682/annum (2017 date).

The overall aim of this ARC Linkage project is to develop a number of data-driven predictive models, predominantly based on remotely collected sensors data, to achieve enhanced proactivity of drinking water treatment processes and monetary savings for water utilities.

Scholarship Benefits: The scholarship will provide a living allowance paid at the RTP Domestic Stipend rate: $26,682/annum (2017 date). A tuition fee waiver scholarship may be available to a successful overseas applicant. The duration of the scholarship is 3 years.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants should possess a Bachelors (Honours class I or IIa) or Masters Degree (with Research) in an environmental science/engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • The successful candidate must be willing to travel occasionally interstate and potentially internationally. Previous work in the drinking water treatment, insitu water quality analyses, or water quality and treatment modelling is desirable but not required.
  • Applicants will be considered provided they fulfill the criteria for PhD admission and scholarship of the University of South Australia and demonstrate excellent research capacity.

Eligible Nationalities: This scholarship is available to both domestic and international research degree students.
