Master of Arts in Music

The Master of Arts in Music at the University of Santo Tomas builds graduate study around prerequisite courses in St. Thomas on Critical Thinking and Research Methodology, plus core music courses including Theory Review, Advanced Solfeggio, History and Analysis of Post Romantic Music, and History and Analysis of Medieval up to Pre-Baroque Music. Two pathways are described: Music Education and Performance.

For Music Education, the degree requirements include prerequisite courses, core courses, cognate courses, and Written Comprehensive Exams with Thesis Writing I, Thesis Writing II, and Thesis Writing III. For Performance, the degree requirements include prerequisite courses, core courses, specialization courses, cognate courses, and the same Written Comprehensive Exams sequence with Thesis Writing I, Thesis Writing II, and Thesis Writing III.
