PhD Economics

The PhD in Economics at Católica-Lisbon SBE is a full-time program for students aiming to excel in academic research, teaching, or leadership roles in government, research institutions, and businesses. It provides rigorous training and practical research experience focused on solving complex economic issues. The program offers a solid academic foundation in business administration and an international research environment. Students develop advanced research skills, publish in top journals, and present at international conferences. The program includes the opportunity to spend one semester at a top-tier business school in the US or Europe. It is delivered in partnership with NOVA School of Business and Economics, and students attend modules at both Católica-Lisbon and NOVASBE.
