Postdoctoral International Fellowships at Tel Aviv University in Israel, 2018

Scholarship Description: The Sackler Center for Computational Molecular and Materials Science at Tel Aviv University is offering two prestigious postdoctoral positions. Applicants of all nationalities are eligible to apply for this fellowship programme.

About University: Tel Aviv University (TAU) – Israel’s largest and most comprehensive institution of higher learning – is home to over 30,000 students studying in nine faculties and over 125 schools and departments across the spectrum of sciences, humanities and the arts.

Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.

Degree Level: Fellowships are available to pursue Postdoctoral programme.

Available Subject: Postdoctoral fellows are expected to perform leading-edge computational research focusing on the chemistry and physics of complex systems and to interact with at least one, but preferably more of the research groups associated with the center.

Scholarship Benefits: They will enjoy a two-year appointment with Tel Aviv University’s highest fellowship (currently, with a net pay of 137,350 Israeli Shekels (NIS) per year), plus relocation expenses (including arrival flights and if needed, temporary housing). A personal allowance of 2000 USD/year will be given for travel expenses to conferences.

Eligible Nationalities: All nationalities are eligible to apply.

Number of Scholarships: Two positions are available.

Entrance Requirements: Applicants should have recently completed their Ph.D. thesis in a relevant field, in an academic institute outside Israel, or expect to complete it by March 2019. Postdoctoral fellows joining the center are expected to start anytime between October 2018 and March 2019.
