The Asian Development Bank – Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP) will soon open applications for the 2027 academic year. Funded by the Government of Japan and administered by the Asian Development Bank, this prestigious scholarship offers outstanding students from ADB’s developing member countries the opportunity to pursue fully funded master’s studies at the University of Tokyo. Applicants can choose from several programs within the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences (GSFS), including Environmental Studies, International Studies, and Sustainability Science.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to carefully review the updated eligibility and qualification requirements on the official ADB-JSP website. It is also recommended to begin identifying potential supervisors within GSFS whose research aligns with their academic goals. The application schedule and deadlines for the 2027 intake have not been announced yet, but the process typically involves submitting required documents through the GSFS application portal, followed by additional documentation for shortlisted candidates. Final selection results are usually released by ADB in late spring, with the autumn semester beginning on October 1, 2027.
The ADB-JSP scholarship provides a comprehensive financial package, covering full tuition fees, travel expenses, housing, insurance, monthly living allowance, and research-related costs. This ensures that scholars can focus entirely on their academic and professional development.
