Scholarship Amounts and Stay Logistics
The scholarship amount depends on who you are and your experience level:
Note: Only relevant work experience is considered up to the application deadline. PhD studies count as experience, but for a maximum of 6 years.
The scholarship is meant to cover your living costs in Slovakia, including food and accommodation.
Your host institution can help you find accommodation and with formalities for entering and staying in Slovakia. You can also handle this yourself.
Medical Examination for Long Stays
Scholarship holders staying longer than 90 days and coming from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland might need a temporary residence permit. This requires a medical exam to prove you don't have any diseases that could be a public health risk. The scholarship program will reimburse the exam cost (up to €250) upon providing receipts.
Travel Grant
Students and PhD students can apply for a travel allowance on top of the scholarship. This is a one-time payment based on the distance between your home and your stay in Slovakia. You can find a distance calculator on the program website to estimate the amount.
This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities.
