With a focus on sustainable innovation and digital economy growth, this fully-funded scholarship aims to empower 120 promising individuals over five years to make a transformative impact across Africa.

Scholarship Details

This prestigious scholarship offers 30 fully-funded positions for the 2025/2026 academic year in a two-year master’s program hosted at ASU’s main campus in Phoenix, Arizona. Selected scholars will engage in a comprehensive curriculum that includes financial, academic, and personal support, all geared towards nurturing leaders in areas like computer science, data analytics, robotics, clean energy, and more.

The Mastercard Foundation Innovation and Technology Scholarship is comprehensive, covering:

• Visa application costs, airfare, tuition fees, and book expenses.

This scholarship is only open to international students from African Countries.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a citizen of an African country, aged 18–33.
• Exhibit academic excellence, leadership qualities, and a commitment to ethical service in their community.
• Hold an undergraduate degree by July 2025 without having started any other master’s program by August 2025.
• Demonstrate a passion for giving back to their home country through learned skills and resources.
