China : Call for PhD Students in Big Data Research at Shenzhen University

The Big Data Research Center at Shenzhen University, China is recruiting international PhD students in big data research. Study areas include machine learning, data mining, databases, high performance computing, cloud computing, parallel computing and data analytics. The center¡¯s international doctoral program is only open for international students who are not Chinese citizens. The applicants are required to hold master degrees in computer science or related areas and have good English communication skills.

The University provides full scholarship for international PhD students and also waives tuition fees.

Shenzhen University (SZU) was founded in 1983 as a public university and is located in Shenzhen, the fast growing city in China and the first Special Economic Zone. SZU offers multi-level degrees in 25 colleges, providing 75 undergraduate programs, over 100 master programs, and 9 doctoral programs. SZU was entitled ¡°the top 10 most beautiful campus¡± of China in 2010.

Requirements: 
-A Master degree in Computer Science and other related disciplines as above mentioned;
-An interest in big data research and development;
-Ability to work in a team, cooperate with industrial partners;
-Non Chinese nationality;
-Fluency in spoken and written English.
