Bachelor of Accountancy with Second Major in Sustainability

The Bachelor of Accountancy with Second Major in Sustainability (provided by Nanyang Business School) builds a foundation for understanding sustainability concepts and applying them to real-world scenarios. The curriculum is structured around the sustainability pillars of Society, Environment, and Economy, also described as People, Planet and Profit. Students then apply this knowledge through two additional pillars: Practice and Policy.

Sustainability study for the second major includes five compulsory courses (one course in each knowledge area) and elective courses. Students complete an interdisciplinary project worth 3AUs as a cross-school group work project selected from a list of competitions and initiatives. The programme is full-time and has direct honours.

Incoming freshmen with qualifications such as the A-Level, International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, NUS High School diploma, or Polytechnic diploma are eligible for exemption from relevant Accountancy or Business core courses. Eligibility for exemptions is assessed based on the criteria outlined in Annex A. Necessary supporting documents must be provided after matriculation.
