Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering with a Second Major in Sustainability

The Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering with a Second Major in Sustainability at Nanyang Technological University is a full-time direct honours programme. Students build an understanding of the interconnections between environment, economy, and society, and learn to apply this knowledge in environmental engineering contexts.

The programme includes the Interdisciplinary Common Core (ICC), comprising Interdisciplinary Collaborative Core (ICC) at approximately 25%, Major Requirements at approximately 60%, and Broadening and Deepening Electives (BDE) at approximately 15%. A Second Major in Sustainability requires at least 30 AUs, including 5 compulsory courses drawn from People, Planet, Profit, Practice, and Policy, plus elective courses and an interdisciplinary project.

Applicants are expected to fulfil these minimum subject requirements.

• Singapore Cambridge GCE 'A' Level: H2 Level pass in Mathematics, and H2 Level pass in Physics / Chemistry / Biology /Computing
• International Baccalaureate Diploma: Mathematics at Higher Level, and Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science at Higher Level
• NUS High School Diploma: Major CAP of 2.0 in Mathematics, and Major CAP of 2.0 in Physics / Chemistry / Biology
• International and Other Qualifications: Mathematics at Senior High School Level, and Physics / Chemistry / Biology at Senior High School Level, and Physics at Junior High School Level*
• Polytechnic Diploma: Applicants with relevant diplomas from one of the local polytechnics may apply for admission.
• Course exemptions: Students with outstanding ‘A’ Level, IB, NUS High School Diploma, or Polytechnic Diploma results may qualify for exemptions from selected first-year courses (up to three for pre-university qualifications).

* Physics at Junior High School level is only applicable to applicants who have not read Physics at Senior High School Level.
