Diploma in Aquaculture Management and Technology

The Specialist Diploma in Aquaculture Management & Technology builds skills for aquaculture management and technology. You study aquatic animal health and disease management, aquatic animal care and nutrition, precision fish farming and operations, and a global perspective in aquaculture. You also cover aquaculture farm management and regulations, and sustainable aquaculture.

Learning uses facilitated learning with face-to-face and online synchronous sessions, plus asynchronous e-learning. Teaching runs from 7pm to 10pm, four times a week, with 3 hours per session, and uses case studies, assignments, written and practical tests, and projects for assessment. You need your own notebooks for lessons.

The course awards the Specialist Diploma on successful completion of selected Post-Diploma Certificates, including Aquatic Animal Health and Nutrition with Responsible Care & Use of Fish (RCUF), or Precision Aquaculture & Technology (PDC not available in upcoming intakes), or Aquaculture Farm Management & Sustainability with Singapore Standard for Good Aquaculture Practice (SS-GAP).

A Polytechnic Diploma or ITE Technical Diploma/Technical Engineer Diploma/ Work-Learn Technical Diploma or equivalent

OR

A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

OR

A Post-Secondary Certificate with at least 3 Years of relevant working experience

• Aquaculture Technician or Aquaculture Specialists in aquaculture/ ornamental fish farms
• Aquarists in public aquariums
• Research Technicians at marine research facilities
• Aquaculture Farm Inspectors at government agencies
