The Specialist Diploma in Building Information Modeling (BIM) Construction & Asset Management at Temasek Polytechnic develops BIM skills across building design, collaboration, and digital data for BIM facility management. You complete two Post-Diploma Certificates: Post-Certificate in BIM Building Data & Asset Management and Post-Diploma Certificate in BIM Construction Planning & Management.
Learning uses facilitated learning (face-to-face/online synchronous) plus asynchronous e-learning. You study through practice-based subjects that include BIM tools for modelling, as-built BIM creation, construction planning with 4D/5D for scheduling and costing, and multi-disciplinary coordination via BIM projects. Assessment uses coursework components such as practical tests, case studies, presentations, assignments, and projects.
The course is intended for working professionals from the built environment industries who want to upgrade skills in design and modelling using BIM tools and technology. At the entry level, graduates can move into roles such as BIM Associates/Modeler/Project Engineer/Engineer/Coordinator, and can progress to BIM Senior Associate.
A Polytechnic Diploma or ITE Technical Diploma / Technical Engineer Diploma / Work-Learn Technical Diploma in Science, Technical, Engineering, Math (STEM) or equivalent
