Diploma in Design

The Diploma in Design at Ngee Ann Polytechnic offers specialisations in Architecture and Product Innovation. Students study design across the two specialisations, with architecture-related learning and product innovation learning organised by levels.

Teaching is structured in weekly hours by level. Architecture Specialisation includes 22 hours per week, 23 hours per week, 19 hours per week, 19 hours per week, 17 hours per week, and 20 hours per week. Product Innovation Specialisation includes 22 hours per week, 22 hours per week, 20 hours per week, 18 hours per week, 18 hours per week, and 20 hours per week.

The course also supports real-world experience through internships at local/overseas start-ups or multinationals, as well as industry projects, workshops, competitions, and hackathons. Graduates can pursue further studies in relevant degree courses and work in architecture and product innovation roles.

AGGREGATE TYPE ELR2B2-D

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have the following GCE ‘O’ Level examination (or equivalent) results.

• English Language: 1-7
• Additional Mathematics/Mathematics: 1-7
• Any one of the 2nd group of Relevant Subjects for the ELR2B2-D Aggregate Type: 1-6

Applicants must also fulfil the aggregate computation requirements for the ELR2B2-D Aggregate Type ( English Language, 2 relevant subjects and 2 other best subjects) listed at www.np.edu.sg/docs/ELR2B2.pdf.

Candidates with severe vision deficiency may encounter difficulties meeting the course requirements and expectations.
