Diploma in Mass Communication

The Diploma in Mass Communication (Ngee Ann Polytechnic) trains students to create content for multiple media platforms. The curriculum spans journalism, integrated communications, advertising, public relations, and radio, TV & social media production, with an emphasis on making and sharing engaging brand stories and spotlighting important topics.

Learning is organised by level with weekly teaching hours shown for each stage: Level 1.1 (21 hours per week), Level 1.2 (23 hours per week), Level 2.1 (21 hours per week), Level 2.2 (21 hours per week), Level 3.1 (14 hours per week), and Level 3.2 (16 hours per week). In the final year, selected students can take a one-year Industry Immersion Programme, or students can do internships or capstone projects from in-house units such as Radio Heatwave and Writer’s Room.

AGGREGATE TYPE ELR2B2-A

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have the following GCE ‘O’ Level examination (or equivalent) results.

Subject ‘O’ Level Grade

• English Language 1-4
• Additional Mathematics/Mathematics 1-7
• Any one of the 1st group of Relevant Subjects for the ELR2B2-A Aggregate Type 1-6

Applicants must also fulfil the aggregate computation requirements for the ELR2B2-A Aggregate Type ( English Language, 2 relevant subjects and 2 other best subjects) listed at www.np.edu.sg/docs/ELR2B2.pdf.
