Diploma in Policing and Security Management

The Diploma in Policing & Security Management at Temasek Polytechnic equips students with knowledge and skills to perform the roles of law enforcement officers and private security managers and officers. Students work on legal issues in the law enforcement and security industry, security measures for organisations and transportation by land, air, and sea, cybersecurity threats and protection plans, basic digital forensic investigations, and concepts of criminal justice and punishment. The course also covers psychology and behavioural science principles for law enforcement and security work, plus data analysis and office productivity and communication tools.

The diploma incorporates four SUSS modules that are also offered as modular courses. Learning uses facilitated learning with face-to-face and online synchronous sessions, plus asynchronous e-learning. The course runs for 2.5 years with sessions held from 7pm to 10pm, three times a week.
