The Specialist Diploma in Robotics and Automation at Temasek Polytechnic is a 12-month programme for working adults. It develops skills to integrate robotics automation systems for robot-assisted production and to troubleshoot industrial robots. You cover Robotics Systems, Control and Troubleshooting; Robotics Integration and Adaptation; Automation Control and Interfacing; and Manufacturing Equipment and Troubleshooting.
Learning uses facilitated learning with face-to-face or online synchronous sessions, plus asynchronous e-learning. The course runs for 3 hours per session, two times per week, at Temasek Polytechnic. Assessment includes assignments, projects, written tests, practical tests, and case studies.
To be awarded the Specialist Diploma, you complete a total of 2 Post-Diploma Certificates, and a certificate is issued after each Post-Diploma Certificate. The programme is targeted at people working as Associate Engineer, Automation Engineer, Equipment Engineer, and Robotics Engineer in installation, commissioning, and maintenance and troubleshooting of automation and robotics equipment.
