Diploma in Security Workplace Safety and Health

The Diploma in Security, Workplace Safety & Health at Temasek Polytechnic combines Security and Workplace Safety & Health. You study how to identify and manage workplace security, safety and health hazards, assess risks, recommend control measures, and establish and review emergency preparedness and response plans. You also develop skills to establish and manage incident investigation and analysis, develop a workplace safety and health management system, and advise on legal compliance issues.

The course runs part-time for 2.5 years. Learning uses Facilitated Learning (face-to-face and online synchronous) plus asynchronous e-learning. Sessions run 7pm to 10pm, 3 times a week, with course duration / frequency stated as 3 hours per session (3 days/week). You are assessed through a combination of coursework such as written and practical tests, case studies, assignments, and projects.
