Graduate Diploma in Gerontology and Active Ageing

The Graduate Diploma in Gerontology and Active Ageing is a specialised postgraduate programme focused on health psychology theories in ageing, person-centered approaches for end-of-life care, and theories of health and illness related to health inequities.

It is delivered as a flexible part-time programme for working professionals. Classes use weekend blocks and flexible learning options, with assessment based on 100% coursework and no exams over a 6-month duration.

Academic requirements: Meet any ONE of the following:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university
• Diploma qualification plus a minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience
• Candidates aged 30 or above with a minimum of 8 years' work experience (assessed case-by-case)

General eligibility requirement: Minimum age: 21 years old at the time of application

English language requirements: Meet any ONE of the following:

• Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency
• Accepted qualifications: IELTS 5.5 or above, TOEFL iBT 46 or above, or equivalent
• Applicants who completed their qualification in English may be exempt — assessed case-by-case
