The Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is a full-time or part-time programme delivered by the School of Materials Science and Engineering. Students equip themselves with postgraduate level knowledge in materials science and engineering and complete a minimum graduation requirement of 30 academic units (AUs).
Students can build their study using general electives selected from options such as Advanced Metallic Materials, Foundations of Nanomaterials, Nanobiomaterials, Materials Laboratory Techniques, Chemical Analysis of Materials, Physical Analysis of Materials, and Optical Materials. Course delivery uses online learning tools, with conventional face-to-face courses available, and elective combinations can be used to make up to 30 AUs.
Have a good Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent in a related discipline.
Good polytechnic qualifications in materials science and engineering or closely related major with a substantial number of years of relevant work experience.
Minimum score required: TOEFL iBT ≥ 85 (internet-based) OR IELTS ≥ 6.0. Applicants without TOEFL/IELTS may be subjected to an interview/test if deemed necessary by the School.
