Master of Science in Sustainability Management

The Executive Master of Science in Sustainability Management at Nanyang Business School (NBS) is a part-time sustainability master for corporate executives. It covers Climate and Environment, Business and Management, Strategy and Innovation, and Technology and Energy, including modules such as Climate System and Climate Change, Sustainability Reporting, Corporate Sustainability: Strategies and Innovations, and Sustainable Energy Technologies. The programme also includes an integrated capstone focused on applying sustainability in practice.

Students study part-time over twelve months in six academic blocks. Each block lasts four to eight consecutive days, including Saturday and Sunday. Learning includes classroom teaching, industry visits, and an individual Integrated Capstone Project guided by a faculty or an experienced industry expert. Participants complete 30 Academic Units across the programme areas and use real-life projects from their own organisations to apply earlier module learning.

• Undergraduate degree
• Fluent in both spoken and written English
• Minimum 10 years of work experience
• Demonstrate passion and interest in pursuing a career in management at the intersection of business and the environment.
• Deep interest and demonstrated intent to chart a course for the whole organisation
• Have a clear motivation for intellectual growth, both in the classroom and beyond.
• Demonstrated professional experience in sustainability-related or focused roles
• Recommended by the organisations to acquire sustainability skills

Candidates with academic qualifications other than the above (e.g., completed the FlexiMasters programme stackable towards the Executive MSc programme within the last 5 years) are encouraged to apply for the programme, subject to at least 10 years of experience and approval by the University. Credit transfers are by application only and will be assessed and approved by the University, and the minimum Grade Point eligible for transfer of credits is 2.5. Credit transfer is subject to a cap as per the University Credit Transfer Policy. Candidates without an undergraduate degree but who have achieved satisfactory results in the FlexiMasters in Sustainability Business Ecosystems are encouraged to apply for the programme on a case-by-case basis.
