Sociology and Gender Studies PhD Studentship, University of Sussex, UK

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and motivated individuals to take up new PhD studentship opportunities in the School of Law, Politics and Sociology at the University of Sussex. Studentships are available from September 2013 for a period of three years, and will be payable at the level of £2,500 (UK/EU) or £5,000 (Overseas) per student in the form of a partial fee waiver.

The School has initially highlighted the following priority fields of inquiry: biodiversity and law; comparative public policy; corporate governance; corporate social responsibility; corruption and governance; crime and criminal justice; criminal law and criminal justice; ethnicity, citizenship and migration; European integration and politics; gender and inequality; international criminal law; medicine and health; representative and party politics; social theory and political sociology. We are particularly keen to encourage applications in cross-disciplinary research areas.
