AstraZeneca $50,000 Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship ( One Young World Summit)

The AstraZeneca Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship supports young advocates to take actionable change in health equity, climate and nature action, or building health systems resilience. AstraZeneca runs the Young Health Programme, and the fellowship is described as enabling fellows to drive a global health movement led by and for young people. Selected fellows are offered access to networks, development opportunities, and funding to implement a project through their non-profit organisation.

The fellowship targets applicants aged 18 to 30 who are founders or leaders of registered non-profit organisations that are operational and able to run an eligible project for underserved communities. It is open to nationals of all countries. The fellowship requires full in-person participation at the One Young World Summit, and it includes support connected to the One Young World Ambassador Network and the Young Health Programme alumni group.

Selection is described through eligibility screening and verification of organisational criteria by AstraZeneca’s grant-making partner at the Charities Aid Foundation. Fellows are also required to fully participate and complete verification; misrepresentation or inability to complete verification in a timely manner may jeopardise fellowship benefits and grant eligibility. If organisational eligibility is not met after screening and verification, the grant may not be awarded and participation may be withdrawn.

Support includes a fully-funded scholarship to attend the One Young World Summit, plus structured learning and development that includes self-directed and live learning, access to the One Young World Academy, mentorship from AstraZeneca colleagues, and professional training. Funding is provided as a grant of either USD $10,000 or USD $50,000 through the non-profit organisation, intended for a project focused on one of the three priority areas.

• Grant funding from AstraZeneca through the non-profit organisation: either USD $10,000 or USD $50,000.
• Grant amount depends on whether selected as the Lead2030 winner for Sustainable Development Goal 3, for which applicants will be automatically considered.
• Fellows are expected to use the grant to implement a project focused on health equity, climate and nature action, or building health systems resilience.

1. Prepare an application that meets the stated candidate requirements, including being a founder or leader of a registered non-profit organisation and proposing an eligible project.
2. Submit the application by the application deadline.
3. After selection, proceed with organisational screening and verification by AstraZeneca’s grant-making partner at the Charities Aid Foundation using documentation in English.
4. Participate fully in-person at the One Young World Summit and fully participate in the Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship.
5. Use the grant to implement an eligible project through the non-profit organisation, and provide the required end-of-year and end-of-grant reporting.
