Audi Environmental Foundation Scholarship

The Audi Environmental Foundation provides scholarships to support research and ways of contributing to environmental protection and sustainable behaviour. The Foundation focuses on environmentally compatible technologies, environmental education measures, and protecting necessities of life for humans, animals, and plants. It was established as a subsidiary of AUDI AG.

The scholarship is for young leaders who are driving change by tackling the climate crisis. Examples of relevant work include using innovative technologies to reduce pollution, promoting climate education, advocating for climate equity and justice, empowering vulnerable communities and resilience, and protecting ecosystems.

Selection is based on eligibility criteria including leadership capacity, understanding of key local and/or global issues, a track record of generating impactful and innovative solutions, and demonstrated impact and innovation in tackling environmental challenges.

Recipients receive access to the One Young World Summit in Cape Town, hotel accommodation in Cape Town, travel to and from Cape Town (economy flights), catering (breakfast at the hotel and lunch and dinner on core Summit days), transport between accommodation and the Summit venue, and exclusive access to a pre-programme run by the Audi Environmental Foundation.

• Aged 18–30.
• Nationals of all countries are eligible to apply.
• Ability to fully participate in-person at the One Young World Summit in Cape Town.
• Demonstrated capacity for leadership.
• Understanding of key local and/or global issues.
• Track record of generating impactful and innovative solutions.
• Demonstrated impact and innovation in tackling environmental challenges.
• Applicants older than 30 are considered only if they demonstrate appropriate personal impact, initiative, and willingness to engage.
• Applications are not accepted from applicants who will be under 18 at the time of the Summit.
