The BSc (Hons) Psychology at SLIIT, awarded by Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), provides a foundation in psychological theories, research, and applications. Students explore cognitive, social, and clinical psychology themes, and develop analytical and problem-solving skills through research methods and statistics. The programme includes study of developmental and social psychology, mental health and wellbeing, and applied psychology.
The degree runs for 3 Years with classes scheduled on Weekdays. It follows a three-year structure: foundations in psychology and research methods in the first year, advanced research methods and mental health disorders plus internship experience in the second year, and specialised areas with an independent dissertation in the third year. The programme includes a Psychology Internships module to provide exposure to professional practice in selected settings.
