Study in Australia: Merit Scholarships at RMIt University 2015, Australian, New Zealand and international students can apply for these academic merit scholarships.

RMIT University offers academic merit scholarships for Australian, New Zealand and international students. These scholarships are awarded for students to commence full-time Bachelor of Engineering degree in the School of Civil, Environment and Chemical Engineering. In 2015 there are five scholarships available one for a female applicant, one for an international applicant and three for all applications.The scholarship provides $5000 for one year. The application deadline is 12 March, 2015.

  • Scholarships are available for full-time Bachelor degree program at the School of Civil, Environmental and Chemical Engineering.

Eligibility: The eligibility for Study in Australia: Merit Scholarships at RMIt University 2015 are as under :

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
-be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, international student or humanitarian visa holder
-have achieved excellent year 12 results with an ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) (or equivalent) of 90 or greater demonstrate aptitude to study in the relevant field
-International students who do not have an ATAR score must provide a legible copy of your non-Australian results and the explanatory page of what those grades mean (the copy that you provide of your results must list subjects undertaken and grades achieved on official paper/letterhead of the institution). Any document not in English requires a translation to be provided. Any illegible copies will not be reviewed or considered.
-be commencing your first year in civil, environmental or chemical programs full-time in semester 1, 2015.

  • If you are commencing a full-time Bachelor of Engineering degree in the School of Civil, Environment and Chemical Engineering, this scholarship can provide financial assistance in your first year of study.
  • In 2015 there are five academic merit scholarships available: one for a female applicant, one for an international applicant and three for all applications.
  • Scholarships are awarded for first year of study.
  • The scholarship provides $5000 for one year.
  • For the 2015 academic year, apply direct to the Coursework Scholarships Office using the online application form. The main application questions are listed below to allow you to prepare your answers in advance (prior to starting the online application).
  • -What are your academic achievements, including any distinctions/awards/prizes received? (maximum 1800 characters)
    -Why do you wish to study in the civil and infrastructure, chemical or environmental engineering fields? (maximum 1800 characters)
    -What are your future plans and aspirations in the engineering industry? (maximum 1800 characters)
    -List the technical/software skills/other qualifications (excluding VCE) that you have.
    -Besides your VCE have you completed any other qualifications?
    -What are you interests outside of school/work?
    Applicants must provide their overseas results by email: in the subject line of your email put: SCECE Academic Merit Scholarship supporting documentation; in the body of your email include: your name, your date of birth and the address you provided in the online scholarship application.

The application deadline is 12 March, 2015.
