Bachelor in Life Sciences Chemie

The Bachelor in Life Sciences – Chemie at FHNW leads to a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, Studienrichtung Chemie. You study chemistry with a focus on how substances are built and how they react, and you apply this knowledge to solutions for people and the environment. Learning areas include analytical, organic, and physical chemistry, supported by foundations in chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics.

The programme combines theory and practice from the first semester and uses in-person instruction at FHNW Campus Muttenz. It is designed for team work and project work, with direct implementation of knowledge in the laboratory using modern, equipped labs and small classes. The course includes a practical semester and involves research and industry projects, often carried out in teams, with you planning and carrying out experiments in a lab or operational setting.
