The Bachelor in Life Sciences – Pharmatechnologie at FHNW is a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences with the study direction Pharmatechnologie. It focuses on how modern medicines are developed, produced, and tested, with attention to innovation, quality, and regulation. The program combines knowledge from chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics with applications in pharma.
Learning is delivered in a presence setting. Students earn 180 ECTS points. Lab and technical work begins in the first semester in practical laboratory and technical facilities, including the Process Technology Center. The program builds skills in pharmaceutical process technology and quality assurance and includes regulatory knowledge relevant to pharmaceutical production.
After the degree, graduates can pursue roles in industrial pharmaceutical drug production, pharmaceutical development and process engineering, quality assurance and quality control, technical project leadership, or GMP-focused environments. They can also work in authorities or organizations with a regulatory focus.
