Bachelor in Uno Sguardo

The Bachelor programs at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) are full-time programs of 6 semesters that follow the Bologna Process. They provide foundational knowledge that students apply through exercises, seminars, atelier work, and laboratory activities. After an initial propedeutic part, students can steer their studies toward different areas of deeper focus within USI’s Bachelor offerings.

USI offers 9 Bachelor programs: Architecture; Lingua, letteratura e civiltà italiana; Teologia; Filosofia; Comunicazione; Scienze economiche; Scienze informatiche; Data Science; Medicina. Teaching is delivered by professors described as having an international profile, with interactive and engaging methods. Smaller classes, exercises in small groups, and direct dialogue with professors support the learning approach.

Instruction language depends on the program: the Italian language is used for Bachelor in Architettura, Scienze economiche, Comunicazione, Lingua, letteratura e civiltà italiana, Teologia, and Filosofia. Bachelor in Scienze informatiche and Bachelor in Data Science are offered entirely in English. A Bachelor in Medicina is offered in German by the University of Basel, as part of the USI Faculty of Biomedical Sciences.
