The Bachelor of Science in Sustainability and Systemic Transition is an interdisciplinary program that trains coordinators for sustainable transition. It combines teaching from the Department of Environment, Construction and Design and the Department of Business Economics, Health and Social Affairs at SUPSI, focusing on the analysis of environmental, social, and economic systems and the design of operational solutions that support individual and collective well-being.

The first two years cover theoretical and ethical foundations of sustainability and systems thinking, including how natural, economic, and social systems work, and techniques to analyze and monitor their evolution. From the second year, the program focuses on designing and managing sustainability measures for transition using concrete cases from partner organizations. In the third year, you can customize your studies through elective in-depth courses, complete an integrated three-month internship, and write a bachelor’s thesis.

• Candidates with the maturity of the Cantonal School of Commerce in Bellinzona or a professional maturity obtained in Switzerland or equivalent are admitted directly, within available places, based on a ranking created through an aptitude interview.
• For candidates who do not have those requirements (for example, those with a secondary school maturity), an aptitude interview is required, followed by a year of professional practice (preparatory course) starting in October.
• Candidates with a professional maturity obtained abroad must complete an individual interview to assess suitability for the program.
• People who have passed age 25 can also be admitted if they have training and work experience assessed as relevant by the Bachelor’s Management (application by portfolio).
