MA Music Performance Trompete 21316

This master’s program, MA Music Performance, Trompete, trains students for ensemble, orchestral, and solo career paths. Students work with a flexible curriculum that includes over 150 elective courses, plus personal study guidance and an international student community. The degree uses a Major–Minor study model, where students select a focus for their major and may add one or two minors to deepen or broaden skills, or choose an Individual Study Area.

Orchestral training is central, with participation linked to the orchestral formations “Orchester der ZHdK,” the contemporary music ensemble “Arc-en-Ciel,” and the chamber ensemble “Kammerensemble der ZHdK.” The program also includes regular public masterclasses led by music professionals, with intensive work with students. Students can engage with ensembles and contemporary music through the Studio for Contemporary Music, which supports questions about performance in older and newer repertoire.
