Master in Life Sciences Analytische Chemie

The Master in Life Sciences – Analytische Chemie at FHNW (Hochschule für Life Sciences) focuses on analytical chemistry for studying complex biological systems at the molecular level. You study modern analytical methods such as high-resolution mass spectrometry and 2D-NMR spectroscopy, with emphasis on strategies to investigate and characterize metabolites, biomarkers, proteins, pharmaceutical formulations, and biological tissues.

The program includes a practical Master’s thesis lasting eight months, often carried out in cooperation with industry partners. It is offered in part-time (while working) and full-time formats, with a learning setting that combines remote learning and on-campus sessions. You can select modules, including elective modules, to build your study plan around your interests and career goals.
