The Master in Life Sciences – Pharmatechnologie at FHNW (Hochschule für Life Sciences) trains you to develop and produce medicines. You study areas including formulation and administration of medicines, formulation of biologics, continuous pharmaceutical production, and pharmaceutical production facilities. You also select choice modules from related fields such as analytical chemistry, applied cell biology, biotechnology, and bioanalytics.
Teaching is offered in English, with in-person and remote learning settings. The programme runs for 3 semesters full-time or 6 semesters part-time. It includes practical work with modern laboratories and production systems, and it uses an individual module selection based on your interests and career goals.
The degree uses a Master’s thesis developed through practical experience in industry or research. The page describes an eight-month Master’s thesis period. The programme also offers an international option through a Double Degree with partner universities or by completing the Master’s thesis abroad.
